Job Description
We are seeking Fiber Technicians and Lead Fiber Technicians for contract to hire opportunities in the Greensboro, NC area. Qualified candidates will have a strong background in the installation, splicing, maintenance and repair of Fiber Optic cable. The role requires in-depth knowledge and experience with fiber optic communication cabling as well as some experience or knowledge with low-voltage electrical systems and various types of cabling.
Required Experience
-Must have extensive experience terminating and splicing Fiber Optic Cable
-Ability to operate and read a Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) to troubleshoot damaged Fiber Optic cable
-Possess a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation
-Must be willing to travel for work as needed
Preferred Experience
-Fiber Optic/Telecommunication/Low Voltage Electrical – 5+ years
-Structured Cabling – 3+ years
-Experience running work/crews
Pay Rate: Based on experience- $30.00-35.00/hr.
Hours per week: 40+
Duration: Contract to hire
