Responsible to the Athletic Director and/or a head coach; provides coaching, development, and supervisory responsibilities of an athletic program
Compensation for all hired extra pay positions (coaches, sponsors, ancillary instructors, etc.) is contingent upon the specific athletic, activity, or academic event being approved by the District to occur during the school year related to this position/posting.
Certifications listed as required qualifications may also be obtained upon acceptance of the position.

- Is aware of injuries to athletes and communicates with athletic trainer and parents, is proactive with injuries, makes sure athletes are medically released to return to play
- Plans for daily, weekly, monthly, and annual character development of all athlete/athletes in the program
- Produces practice plans that are detailed and assist with the advancement of individual skills progression and and strategy development
- Regularly pursues appropriate professional learning activities
- Rosters, transportation requests, certifications are handed in prior to deadlines.
- Supervises all facilities and athletes before, during, and after practices and competitions

- Sits, stands, walks, stoops, kneels, and crouches/squats while performing duties
- Has oral and auditory capacity enabling interaction interpersonally and/or through communication devices
- Uses eyes, hands, and finger coordination enabling the use of equipment and writing utensils
- Typical demands require staff to lift and carry up to 20 pounds, and may be higher for some assignments depending on position and student need; climb stairs, ladders, and/or stools; reach, hold, grasp and turn objects; use fingers to operate computer keyboards; feel the shape, size and temperature of objects

Required Qualifications: ASEP Certification - American Sport Education Program, CHSAA Certification - Colorado High School Activities Association, High school graduate -high school diploma or equivalent, NFHS Coaching Fundamentals Certification - National Federation of State High Schools, Teacher License: Initial - Colorado Department of Education, Teacher License: Professional - Colorado Department of Education
