As an IHSS, you will support a fun and active individual who enjoys spending time outdoors and trying new recipes in the kitchen. Your role will involve offering guidance and encouragement with daily tasks, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for growth. Key Responsibilities

• Assist with meal planning and cooking, helping the client explore and try new recipes
• Support outdoor activities, such as walks and community engagement
• Provide guidance with daily routines and household tasks, ensuring a clean and organized living space
• Communicate proactively to ensure both you and the client are on the same page regarding schedules and plans
• Be flexible with availability, generally working afternoons or evenings based on the client's needs
• Ensure the client's well-being and safety during all activities

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 18 years of age or older
• Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance
• Ability to pass required background checks
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, positive attitude
• Compassionate, patient, and supportive demeanor
• Flexible availability, generally after 2 p.m. on weekdays
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus but not required
